Somerville Invades PlayStation This Month

Somerville’s mysterious alien invasion will be coming to PlayStation consoles starting August 31. Jumpship is a studio founded by Dino Patti, former CEO of Playdead, creators of Limbo and Inside.

This game is about a small family that has been thrown by a sudden invasion by aliens. Now they must hide and run to stay alive. The game’s eerie atmosphere and lack of dialogue lend to the game’s enigmatic nature, and multiple endings offer various truths about the threat you face.

Somerville, released on Xbox and PC for the first time in November, received generally positive reviews. It was noted, however, for its rough performance. That has since improved with post-launch update. In a press release, Jumpship promises the PlayStation port will be the “best version of Somerville yet” and will feature DualSense haptic feedback.
