Solo Leveling anime trailer coming to Crunchyroll in 2023

Solo LevelingFinally, a series is being made. The extremely popular webtoon has waited years for an adaptation, and now one’s finally on the way in 2023 from production studio A-1 Pictures (Kaguya Sama: Love is War). The first trailer for the anime arrived at Anime Expo 2022. Crunchyroll will stream the anime in North America and Central America next year. It will also be available on Crunchyroll Europe, Africa and Oceania.

The trailer itself doesn’t include many visuals except a still image of the series’ main character. The trailer includes images taken from the webtoon and concept art by A-1. The series’ music will be composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, the composer for Attack on TitanAmong many others.

It is set in fantasy land with Hunters, who possess magical abilities. Sung Jinwoo is a weak Hunter who gains the ability to become stronger through the help of a mysterious force. He soon becomes more powerful and can surpass those who thought him weak.

Solo LevelingThe original inspiration for the comic was a South Korean webnovel written by Chugong. It gained more attention when it became a digital comic. Later, the webtoon was serialized in a print form by KakaoPage. It has been published as physical issues in English.
