Silent Hill’s Future Will Be Revealed In A Presentation This Week

Silent Hill’s future has been the subject of numerous rumors over the last couple of years, and it appears we’re finally getting a clear answer on what’s next. Konami broadcasts a Silent Hill Transmission every week.

It airs on Wednesday, October 19th at 2:00 PM Pacific/ 5:00 PM Eastern. A tweet only states the presentation will feature “the latest updates for the Silent Hill series.” Although the tweet contains a link to a Silent Hill website that provides more information, it doesn’t provide any further details.

According to rumors, Konami has several Silent Hill projects under development at different studios. This rumor was recently confirmed by Silent Hill movie director Christopher Gans. The Bloober Team (creators of Layers of Fear and The Medium) is the most persistent. They are remaking Silent Hill 2. In September it was announced that Silent Hill: The Short Message has been rated in South Korea.

The last full-fledged Silent Hill game was 2012’s ill-recieved Book of Memories for PS Vita. You can also play the teaser trailer for Hideo Kojima’s Silent Hills canceled game, P.T.

For years, Silent Hill fans have had to settle for rumor and innuendo in regards to what’s next for the series, so hopefully, Wednesday’s presentation rewards that patience with some exciting announcements.
