Sega Of America Employees File For Unionization
Sega of America is likely to become the United States’ first video-game union with multiple departments.
Today, The VergeSega of America broke the news of a supermajority of employees from its quality assurance and live service departments. They also announced that localization, product development, marketing, and other divisions have all filed for unionization. This team of workers headquartered in Sega of America’s Irvine, California office filed its union election with the National Labor Relations Board and will go by the name Allied Employees Guild Improving Sega (AEGIS) in partnership with the Communications Workers of America, The Verge reports.

AEGIS also issued a statement that outlined why the union is unionizing and what they want for their members. The full text of the statement is below.
