Sega announces newest Total War game set in Ancient Egypt

Total War: Ancient Egypt takes you to the ancient Egyptian deserts in this new game. Titles Total War PharaohThe game takes place in Egypt’s New Kingdom around the collapse of the Bronze-Age. In this game, players assume the role as a future pharaoh. They will decide the fates of Egypt and Canaan’s people, along with the Hittite kingdom.

Ramses will only be one of eight different leaders, all with their own playstyles.

“There are few periods more iconic than Ancient Egypt; fraught with political intrigue, cataclysmic events and grand war campaigns, it’s the perfect setting for a Total War title,” said Game Director, Todor Nikolov in a press release.

The announcement trailer features a battle between a dung-beetle and a poop mound in the desert. This is up until the prized doodoo sphere is shot by an arrow, and it flies off, to be caught by a brave military leader who looks on at a war zone.

Total War Pharaoh Steam and Epic Games will both be offering the title in October.
