See Madden NFL 23’s FieldSense In Action

Madden NFL 23 comes in August, with new tech that will completely change the game from both ends. Brian Shea, our own Brian Shea was recently able to play with Madden’s latest version and FieldSense. This feature allows for a wide range of gameplay changes and animations. In the video, you can see a deeper dive into all FieldSense has to offer.

FieldSense, an exclusive technology for the newest generations of consoles (PS5/X/S), covers a variety of aspects. Senior game design director at Madden NFL 23 Connor Dougan discusses these in this video. The first is an animation set that incorporates physics-informed animation and animation branching technology. This gives the game a more realistic look. 360 Cuts give receivers and runningbacks greater control. Hit Everything, on the other hand, affects almost everything in the defense. Skill Based passing will allow Quarterbacks to fine tune where the ball is being thrown for better passes. These new concepts are demonstrated and much more during the five minute breakdown.

Madden NFL 23 will be available on August 19, with John Madden as the cover artist. FieldSense can only be played on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S. However, there are other versions available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
