SDCC-Exclusive Glow-In-The-Dark Super Sonic Funko Pop Announced

Each time San Diego Comic-Con rolls around, we receive a ton of conference-exclusive collectibles to fawn over. While many of us will likely never get our hands on some of these unless we actually go to the show or find a vendor online, they’re always fun to look at. Funko has a special SDCC Pop! figures. Game Informer can exclusively reveal the Pop Games: Sonic – Super Sonic First Appearance vinyl figure.

Super Sonic’s latest version features the ability glow in the dark. This is a tribute to the Super Sonic signature aura, which can be seen on TV, movies, and comics. The vinyl figure measures approximately 5.3 inches in height and appears to be floating above the stand. Although I’ve not seen it in person, the glowing-in-the dark feature and the floating illusion combine to produce a cool effect that dims when the lights dim.

Funko Pop! Exclusive San Diego Comic-Con Funko Pop! The figure is packaged in either the 2022 Summer Convention Exclusive sticker or the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con sticker. The sticker inside the box, despite the photo in the gallery showing the former, is not guaranteed. The iconic convention is making its grand return to San Diego Convention Center this year for the first-time since 2019. San Diego Comic-Con takes place from July 21- July 24, 2019.
