SDCC 2023: India’s biggest-budget movie ever is Kalki 2898 AD
Participation from American studios is light at this year’s SDCC, with many pulling out of the event amid ongoing strikes for both the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild. But there’s a whole wide world of movie-making out there beyond the U.S., and the Telugu and Hindi film Kalki 2898 A.D. became the first Indian movie to be presented at the event’s Hall H, with a new trailer, a new title, and a panel.
Kalki 2898 A.D. This epic science-fiction film features a cast of stars, including Telugu. Baahubali Kamal Hassan, the Tamil star (recently viewed in VikramDeepika Padukone, the Hindi actress who was recently seen in PathaanDirector Nag Ashwin is best known as the director of award-winning film “Biopic”, which was based on Amitabh Bachchan. Nag Ashwin directed the film, and is best known as a director for award-winning films like “Biopic”. Mahanati. As of yet, little is known about plot, however, the trailer shows a lot of action, intrigue, as well as a desert setting.
Initial referred to initially as Project KThe Kalki 2898 A.D. Title was revealed during the SDCC panel. With a budget around $75 million, it is the most expensive movie ever made in Indian cinema. Kalki 2898 A.D. In India, the film is scheduled to be released on January 12, 2019. The US has not yet set a date for the release of this movie, but it will be distributed worldwide.
