SDCC 2022: Watch first trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

One of the best things about Dungeons & DragonsIt can take any form depending on the person who is there, even a movie starring Chris Pine. What might that look like? You’re in luck.

For much of the last decade, I have been stuck in development. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a forthcoming film based on the tabletop role-playing game and cultural phenomenon — and until this week, that’s kind of all anyone knew. Paramount will give audiences an exclusive look at their long-in-development film at San Diego Comic-Con.

Instead of a grimly serious adaptation of fantasy, it reads as a comedy buddy movie. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein direct this film (the same duo who directed the hilarious comedy). Game Night), Honor among Thieves stars Chris Pine, Regé-Jean Page, and Michelle Rodriguez — who fans can briefly see in character on the Comic-Con show floor in a fun tavern installation.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among ThievesIt will be shown in cinemas on March 2023.
