Sand Meets Snow in Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis

It is winter! Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis! Snow is falling across planet Halpha, from the Aelio to the Retem Region, and Central City is decorated with seasonal décor! Part 1 began January 12. Part 2 started this week. There’s still plenty of time to get in on the action, as the event doesn’t end until February 8.

Special enemies are found in both the Exploration Sector and Battle Sectors, just like previous Seasonal Events. It’s easy to tell these enemies apart, as they are marked with special symbols. These enemies can also be eliminated, and you will earn Seasonal Points that can then be used to exchange Seasonal points with ARKS Phenomenologist Xiandy (Central or Retem City). She’ll also have a few Limited-Time Tasks for you to complete, after which you’ll receive special rewards.

There are special daily and weekly tasks that can be rewarded with Seasonal points as well as cosmetics during the event. Check the Task List’s Limited-Time Tab to see what tasks you have left. Seasonal Points can be exchanged for all kinds of goodies at Xiandy’s Exchange Shop, such as a new Winter Form for your Mag, Star Gems, or an enhanced Wind Element weapon from the Tempesta Weapon Series. This 5-star rare weapon is great for combat in the Retem Region as most enemies are not weak to Wind Element. Xiandy has material and augmentments that can be used to boost your gear.

Central City was decorated for winter. You will have to locate them all in order to fulfill a limited-time task. These symbols can also be hunted down, and a seasonal gathering item is also available. To earn additional points for regional and personal boosts, collect these items and give them to Seasonal Region Mags. Everybody could use an increase in their Rare Item drop rate.
