Royal Guard Armor set locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

However, it provides slightly more protection than the Hylian Armor set you can purchase from Lookout Landing’s general store, which means you can save your rupees for something more useful later on.

Every piece of the set — which comprises a head, chest, and legs gear — is located inside Hyrule Castle. The floating castle takes some work to reach, but collecting the set also gives you a chance to pick up some soldier’s and royal guard weapons, which are far more powerful than anything you can get in or around Hyrule Field.


Hyrule Castle, Tears of the Kingdom: How to reach it

Even though your stamina is not expanded, you can still get to Hyrule Castle. You will just need some stamina elixirs. Prepare at least 3 recipes to restore at half your stamina, or 2 that can completely restore it.

Launch yourself in the air by traveling to the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower. Once you have Link under control again, immediately turn to the north. Deploy your paraglider. As you glide toward the castle, make sure to land safely on the path that is right outside of Sanctum.

Head northeast, avoiding or jumping through gloom puddles as you go, and make your way to the castle’s backside, by Serutabomac Shrine.

Royal Guard Leg Pieces is in stock King’s StudyThe library of Hyrule Castle has a secret room. You can turn around by hopping down from where the shrine stands. Entrance the doorway. Descend the stairs.

The library opens up, unlike the other versions. Breath of WildThere are no opponents here.

You can turn around by descending to the lower level. Use Ultrahand to move the bookcase and reveal a small doorway into the King’s Study, where you’ll find the Royal Guard BootsThey grant +4 to your defense. Also, grab the shield and weapon before leaving. If you’re early in the game, these are likely much more powerful than anything you have already.


Royal Guard Armor head piece Location

Next piece of the puzzle is Zelda’s RoomYou can fast travel back to the shrine and then use your Ascend ability for a little shortcut. Fast travel back to your shrine to get to the sanctum, or you can use Ascend to take a shortcut. Use Ascend to reach the pool of gloom at the opposite end of the library. You’ll pop up near a rocky rise.

Use Ascend to ascend again. You’ll end up right in front of the sanctum. Turn left after entering the sanctum. Leave the window.

The tower in front of you is Zelda’s study, which has a Royal guards sword inside.

At the other end of the walkway connected to the study is Zelda’s Room.

It’s important to be aware of the dangers. section of stone in front of the room’s entrance will crumble and fall away when you set foot on it, so move quickly to stay safe. The Royal Guard Cap, which grants +4 defense, is in a chest behind the screen that’s immediately to your left when you enter the room.

Glide forward and to your left, around a rocky outcrop, and you’ll see the gatehouse down below.

Use Ultrahand to lift the gates. Ultrahand is the best way to raise gates. Pass under the gates while keeping your ability active.

Once you’ve reached the massive pool of gloom, walk up the staircase, then take a right. This staircase takes you down into the Guard’s Chamber.

The chest with armor sits on a platform made of wood, above a huge gloomy puddle. You could risk walking through it and using Ascend to reach the chest quickly, but there’s a safer way. You can sneak up the wall by turning right, and then following the platform. You can still climb up the wall even though there is no staircase.

Use Ultrahand with two boards of wood to create a bridge once you’ve reached the space between you and the chest. You can cross the gap and then use Ultrahand to make a bridge with two wooden boards. Royal Guard Uniform. This gives you +4 protection.
