Rooster Teeth’s RWBY is getting an anime spinoff

Rooster Teeth’s animated web series RWBYIs there an anime spinoff coming from Japan? Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The series will be called RWBY Ice Queendom and will be produced in a collaboration between Rooster Teeth and Japan’s Shaft animation studio.

The announcement for this series has been a bit complicated. Crunchyroll posted a statement initially on Thursday. However, it later removed the statement, according to Anime News Network. The project appears to also have both. English Japanese Twitter accountsAlong with some posters and an entire Japanese website that provides news and information about the series, you can also find them here. Despite all this, there doesn’t appear to be a larger announcement by Rooster Teeth itself just yet.

Rooster Teeth created RWBY (Comparison of Red and Blue Gen:Lock2013 It is currently in its eighth season. Rooster Teeth’s partner for Ice Queendom is Shaft, a Japanese studio that’s been making anime series since 1995, including Puella Magi Madoka Magica, NisekoiMonogatari Series.

According to the show’s website, fans will likely learn more about the project during this weekend’s AnimeJapan 2022 festival, though it’s unclear if this will also include a trailer. According to the website, the series will debut later in 2018.
