RimWorld patch 1.4 lets you make the vampire cult of your dreams

RimWorld is a sci-fi colony management game where everything can — and will — go wrong. Three expansions are available in the game, including Ideology, Royalty and BioTech. The newest expansion is BioTech. A patch is coming soon that will make the expansions work better. Players will also be able adapt their religions to help them focus on BioTech, which will change the game.

Developer Ludeon Studios announced RimWorld’s 1.4 patch on Saturday with an in-depth post on the game’s official Steam page. Tynan Sylvester, creator of BioTech wrote the following:

At first, I was somewhat hesitant to place. [cross-expansion content] in because I worried it would feel like locking one expansion’s content behind another expansion. It seems people are interested in it and the narrative would make sense.

You can create religions for players that focus on mechanoid and child labor. Colonies can choose to give their children a safe, happy upbringing or take the risk of getting them into mines once they have mastered picking. While some colonies love to be fed by vampires while others hate them and are afraid of the creatures, there is a middle ground.

New patches will improve gene modification and pass genes on to your children. There are also new Polux trees to nullify pollution and diplomatic consequences for players who choose to pollute near their allies around the globe.
