Employ defensive tactics through the game’s combat engine which is interwoven and impacted by the AI storytellers. A colonist’s performance in battle is affected by other elements in their lives; maybe they were just about to eat before a savage raid, have come down with a deadly disease or even just had an argument with their partner and are on edge – all of these possible situations affect their combat ability.
