Resident Evil 4 Remake, RE Village, And Assassin’s Creed Mirage Announced For iPhone 15 Pro

Update, 9/25/23:Capcom announced during its Tokyo Game Show Presentation that Resident Evil Village, including the Winters’ Expansion will be available on iOS from October 30. The game will be playable on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad Air and iPad Pro with the M1 chip or later. Winters’ Expansion contains the Shadows of Rose campaign.

Original StoryApple announced the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro as well new Apple Watches at a keynote event held today. While new iPhones aren’t exactly surprising given the company’s annual cadence, what is surprising is that Apple has also announced that Resident Evil 4 (Remake), Resident Evil Village, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and Death Stranding are coming to the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, as reported by IGN. 

Apple’s today event was sparse on details, however, they did show a few screenshots of games that were running on an iPhone 15 Pro virtual model. They didn’t demonstrate gameplay on any of the new phones. It’s unclear what the gameplay experiences for these games will be like on the iPhone 15 Pro and Max; considering it’s already possible to connect a Bluetooth controller, like the PlayStation DualSense or Xbox Series X/S gamepad, to various Apple devices, it’s not a stretch to assume that’s the best way to play these games on this new device. 

The performance of these games on devices is still to be confirmed. Apple has confirmed that both Resident Evil and Death Stranding games will be released on iPhones later this year. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is expected to hit the phones in 2024. IGN.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was released earlier this year. Resident Evil Village will be released by Capcom in 2021. Assassin’s Creed Mirage was released in 2021.
