Resident Evil 4’s ninth chapter finds Leon and Ashley reunited after Leon’s trip through the Castle Battlements in Chapter 8.
Our Resident Evil 4 remake Chapter 9 walkthrough will make sure you don’t miss any items from the beginning of the chapter through the Courtyard, Grand Hall, Armory, Dining room, Gallery, LibraryPlease see the following: Mausoleum.
You are invited to join the Ballroom
After Luis’ phone call, turn away from the typewriter and smash the vases behind you for some pesetas. There’s another vase up where Ashley was sitting with gunpowder.

Leave the computer at home and get outside.

Make a right and smash the barrels! pesetas And gunpowder. Turn left and continue down the steps. It is somewhat maze-like in the Courtyard. And you’ll be attacked by colmillo (the angry dogs) throughout.

To find the dead end holding crate, take the first link. handgun ammo. Return to the main road and go east towards the stairs. You can smash the crate on the right hand side of the staircase for some pesetasAnd handgun ammo.
Go around to the other side and get on top of the ladder. Push the switch to lower one of the three flags.
Turn right at the foot of the ladder. You will find an under-the stairs container containing some goodies in the crate on your left. pesetasAnd shotgun shells. Head back and follow this path south and then west (right) — follow it to the far end for a crate with some gunpowder, Ressources (L).Please see the following: gunpowder.
Take the second left into the mini-maze. Continue around the corner and you’ll find a cage with colmillos. At the end of that spiral, you’ll find a crate with a velvet blueYou can also use another switch.

Get your orderAshley will hold the one. Loop back around and through the gate she’s holding open. Continue up the steps. Continue following the trail around until you reach the flag-lowering switch.

You will see a bunch of zealots as you return. Follow them along the maze towards Ashley by dropping off the walkway. She’ll get grabbed, but you’ll meet them before they get far.
Return to the main route. Cross the Courtyard going north when you get to the bottom of the steps. Turn right around the corner to locate an area where you will find crates that hold a viper, Ressources (L)., Rifle ammoPlease see the following: pesetas.
Go north from here, then turn right. Continue on to the right and take another left. You will find a U-shaped bend in the road. Follow this path and you can smash the crate using a green herbAnd Rifle ammoYou will pass as you go. Clear the area around the next corner.

The path will take you to the dry fountain. Continue to the left, passing by the fountain. For some, you can smash the vase in the small room. Ressources (L). Open the chest to reveal your identity Elegant Chessboard treasure.
Turn left from the outside and go under the steps. Cut to the right to unlock the gate to return to the previous area.
Toss the third flag and climb up the ladder.

Head back to the stairs — at which point you’ll get attacked by a couple more tentacled colmillos. Go up the stairs and follow the instructions to get to the top. Grand Hall.
Grand Hall // Merchant
After you have passed the door, immediately turn left and grab the Ressources (S).The cabinet. Look up to find this area’s Blue Medallion 1 from 6. For more information, open the second cabinet to the left. handgun ammo.

The second statue in the hall is the one on right, holding a lantern that contains an alexandrite.
The merchant is located at the second door to your right, which faces south.
As you are entering, go to your right and grab the Blue Note: Request to Destroy Blue Medallions from next to the typewriter — we’ll get to the rest of them in a second. Take the keys from across the room. Merchant Tip: Next Level Upgrades file. We can’t do anything with the lock to the right, yet, so visit the merchant.

To the left of the Merchant is an elevator to the second Shooting Gallery — where you can win more Charms.
This time, you’ll be using the TMPSubmachine guns and the Riot Gun.
You can use the same tips as Chapter 3 to help you with your first Shooting Gallery. Be patient and keep practicing.
Dining Hall // Serpent Head

To get back to Water Hall, the shortcut is found at the Merchants room door. We’ll use that a bit later. Instead, go back to Grand Hall and then turn left.
Standing under the second chandelier, look up. You will now be walking clockwise. About a quarter of the way around — at about 9 o’clock — you’ll see Blue Medallion 2 from 6.
Go up the central staircase. You’ll find the Statue of the Headless here. To the right, there’s a painting(?) showing a clue about what you’ll be doing here. You can see the statue’s center pillar from behind. Blue Medallion 3, of 6.
Grab the item by taking a left Additional Pest Control Blue NotesStart from the next door. Continue pushing.
As soon as you walk in, there’ll be a rat to your left. It must be killed Rat 1 from 3.
The Dining Hall is located at the far end. Grab the keycard. Red herbThe table. Two vases are located in the corners. gunpowderAnd pesetas.
To the right. Behind the curtains on the window over the sofa, you’ll spot Blue Medallion 4 out of 6.

On the back wall, there are two pairs of portraits. This room’s puzzle is solving the problem of Ashely sitting in the same place as Leon, and Leon sitting in the matching chair.

Stand at the other end of the room — at the end of the table closest to the Statue of the Caged Serpent. You can order AskLeon, jeez! Ashley should sit in the third chair to the right. Leon’s seat is fourth on the left (closest to the portraits). To remove the cage surrounding the statue, ring the bell
Grab the Serpent HeadImportant item. Return to the Grand Hall, and then place the item on the Headless Statue.
Armory // Lion Head
Turning toward the Merchant from the Grand Hall, go back up to the staircase on your right. For some, smash the vase while you’re passing. pesetasNext, open the cabinet to the far end and get some gunpowder. Enter through the door to the right.

Ashley has made a comment about the armor. Turn right to find a vase with some handgun ammo. Grab The gunpowderThe table. You can find the cabinet at the bottom left corner. Key smallInside, the table at the right has been rearranged. green herb.
Proceed forward until you reach the Armory. Turn right to avoid falling down. Take a look at the alcove chair. Blue Medallion 5 out of 6.
To smash vase vases, drop down to the lowest level. Ressources (S)., Ressources (L)., gunpowder, handgun ammoLearn more gunpowderLearn more handgun ammoAnd a flash grenade.
Then, pick up the Lion Head, the suits of armor around the room will start moving — these are Living Armor piloted by a plaga. Their weak point is because the armor deflects bullets.

You can best deal with them by parrying one or two of their sword strikes to stun them and then meleeing their helmets. Pump bullets until the parasite explodes. If you’re able to get them, flash grenades can also cause severe damage to the parasite.
Ashley can help stun the knights by dropping lanterns, but only a handful.
When you’re done (rolling your eyes at Leon’s “nighty-night, knights” quip), grab the SpinelsThey fell and Ashley will join you downstairs.
For the Armory to be opened, interact with two centaur tails.

Boxes 1 and 2: Treasure diversion

We now have the Cubic Device and a Small Key, so we can go back in time to find some treasures.
Head into the Merchant’s room. Go interact with the device in the back right corner and use the Cubic Device — you’ll have to rotate it 2 DownAnd 1 leftTo get the forms to align. Inside, you’ll get a Butterfly Lamp.

Follow the door to the south. Ride the car down the steps to the safe area between the Water Hall and the Audience Chamber. To return to the Audience Chamber, turn left.

When you push through the doors, you’ll have to deal with another crowd of zealots who turn into Plaga Mandibula and another red robed zealot. Once they’re all dispatched, use the small key on the drawer along the north wall for a A gold barTurn right and head towards the northwest corner.
Use the Cubic Device again — rotate it twice to the right (or left, really) with R1. This time, you’ll find a Justitia Statue.
We can grab two more treasures while we’re in the neighborhood. You can go back to the Water Hall, and you will find a new set of zealots. Keep going north towards the Wine Cellar. Continue on to the northern end of the hall. You’ll have to deal with another living armor.

Right, raise Ashley to the top of the locked doors. Inside the chest behind it, you’ll get another Depraved Idol. Grab the Salazar Family Chronology You can file and smash the crate to get some Ressources (L)..

Keep going to Bindery, where you will fight another pair living armors. Continue on to Castle Battlements. Once you have reached the top of the tower, take out the zealot and throw the switch that opens the first floor door. Then, climb up the ladder. On the second floor, there are still two zealots. You can go through the doors and then climb the ladder to your right.
You can check for zealots by making a huge loop around the tower’s top (skip stairs). At the far end of the loop, you’ll find Clockwork Castellan 8 from 16.

To return to the Grand Hall, you can backtrack to and through Courtyard. You can sell or buy new tunes from the merchant by going back to Merchant.
Gallery // Head of Goat

Return to the Grand Hall and place the Lion Head onto the Headless Statue. Take the right stairs and turn left. There’s a vase on the way and a cabinet at the far end both with Ressources (S)..
Enter the Gallery through the front door.

For a smashing of the vase, Hand grenadeTurn left, then continue to walk along the walkway. The walkway will be lowered to the ground by a zealot or a red-robed-zealot. That red-robed zealot — zealot (staff) — should be your first target. He’s the one that turns the normal zealots into Plagas Mandibula.
If you can’t take him out from here either with a grenade or rifle, it’s possible to head to the right and sprint past all the zealots. Follow the steps to the top and when you come to a wall turn right. Follow the hall at the top — against sprinting past zealots — to find him. You should first get him out, then you can deal with the rest. Plagas Mandibula can be severely damaged by a flash bomb.
Once everyone’s cleared out, throw the switch on the balcony to raise the walkway again.
Turn right and continue to go down the ladder until you get to the top. To find the right, take a left. green herbPlace the vase on a wall-facing table. Turn counterclockwise to find a vase. Ressources (S).. Find a spot in the middle. flash grenade You can find out more Ressources (S).Place it on the table.
Go upstairs, and then under the walkway. Make a left and follow the signs to your right. Blue Medallion 6 out of 6.
Two vases are located at the end of this walkway. gunpowderAnd Rifle ammoA fancy chest with an inscription yellow diamond.
Turn right and return to the main level. At the top of the stairs, there’s a vase with a green herbTo the left and to the right handgun ammo To the left. To return to the gallery’s beginning, climb the steps against the wall.
To find more, cross the walkway once again. shotgun shellsYou can find it on the railing. There are 2 vases behind the statue. Rifle ammo, handgun ammo, Ressources (L).Please see the following: gunpowder. Grab The Head of Goat. When you do, a trio of zealots will be at your door.
Return to the Grand Hall, and then place the Goat Head.
Rescue Leon

After a quick cutscene where Leon demonstrates some badassery that’s not really reflective of when you’re controlling him, you’ll assume control of Ashley and head into the Library(ish).

Move forward to grab the item in the next area. lanternPlease click on the right. Continue to follow the only way forward until the secret panel is revealed.
You’ll pass Rat 3 of 3 for your request, but Ashley doesn’t have a way to kill it. We’ll come back for it in a bit. The clock puzzle can be found by sifting through the shelves. Make a left, and you will find the How to find the Hidden MausoleumTo file, you must go through the front door.
Continue on to the next hallway. Library.

To the right, duck down and cross the floor. Continue south to find the stone pedestal by looping around the room.

To slide the bookcase across, place the lantern inside. Follow the track back to the crank by moving to your left. To lower the staircase, turn it.
Retract the lantern from the front and then head up the secret staircase. Grab the lantern at the top. Bunch of KeysFrom the table.

Back downstairs, there’s a living armor patrolling. Hitting it with Ashley’s lantern (holding L2), will stun it. You can wait for the ball to turn on your left, then stun it and head right.
Keep your eyes on the wall to the left and then run in front to hide under the next set of shelves. Use the Bunch of Keys — the fish one — to open the chest there for an Elegant Perfume Bottle.
Turn left and duck back. You will find the elevator in the North End of the Room. You’ll have to stun another plaga on the way.

Use the Bunch 3 of the Keys at the elevator to unlock it, then go inside and press the button. Push the button to open the gate when the elevator stops.
To hit the cutscene, move forward. To the right, there’s another Grandfather Clock You will need a puzzle piece and a typing machine. You can save and turn right to locate a Shield-Shaped SlotThis includes a Square Lock Box as well as a The Librarian’s Note file.
Follow the blood trail to another desk by turning left. Take the A hastily written noteFile to search for the answer to your problem Grandfather clock Puzzle behind you. You can enter the time in the picture above.

Once the panel opens, you can run down the stairs and stun another armor to get the crank open. Other secret panel.

There’s going to be a new gap in the bookcases on your right where a living armor smashed through. You can duck through and run for the Grandfather Clock that you just saw. Also set this clock to 11:04 and wait for the plaga to pass you by. Run down the steps and stun it.
There’s nothing you can do in the bottom of the stairs, so just call the elevator. You can stun another pagan by turning around before getting in.
Mausoleum
Run to the Mausoleum’s far end. There’s another gong puzzle here. This time, you’re looking for an Eagle, Stag, FishPlease see the following: Snake. There are only four of them in this room. It is your job to find them and avoid all the living armors.

Once you’ve opened the door, run through it. They won’t be able to follow you. Look behind you to locate a locked chest. You can open it by using the first snake key from the Bunch of Keys. emerald.

Follow the trail and go around the corner. The final room has three lanterns and pedestals that surround the crypt. These lanterns project a particular shape and are surrounded by a crypt wall. Match them.
- At the back, swap the lantern you’ve been carrying for the crescent moon lantern.
- You can flip that star counterclockwise.
- Then, place the star at the end.
Run in to grab your key when the door is opened Salazar Family Insignia.
You will see all of the lanterns go out when you grab it. You can then sprint back up the steps, following the same route. Then, crawl under the frozen knights and sprint up to the elevator. As much cover as possible, use the pillars.
Continue up the staircase to reach the Library. You’ll run into another living armor that you can’t get past. You can lure it down the steps to reach the open area, then you will be able to dodge it.
Take a right turn at the top and enter the building. The Library is your destination once you have reached it. You can pause as you approach the Library to draw the living armors nearer, then turn left and duck beneath the shelves just like at the beginning. Turn right to enter the corridor.

Continue up the steps and then take a left at the top. Salazar Family Insignia In the Shield-Shaped Slot.
Watch the scene where Ashley is grabbed as you duck through the door. Again.
