My personal story is the core of this game. The theme is self-love, identity, and is deeply personal. Since I am an immigrant from the United States, as well as someone who struggles with his identity in multiple ways, I wanted to be able to explore such themes in a video game. In this game, the protagonist is gay and dark-skinned. This is the character I wished I would have seen in my childhood games. Gardener is a game that aims to bring joy to players through a narrative.

The story isn’t the only part of the game that will bring you joy; the gameplay was designed to put you into a calming state of flow. This is an easy game that involves jumping between leaves, attacking plants and then spawning more leaves. The magical dash propels you higher. Explore the game deeper to discover amazing game mechanics and new obstacles in every level. This game is not like other platforms. It’s easy enough to play and quick to finish, but it still rewards those who can master higher level gameplay. You can earn 3 stars for every challenge level if you are a perfectionist. You can also enable assist mode if you’re not interested in the story.

Climb and Attack
To propel yourself up, leap and slash at the flowers on the vines. You can chain them to make it faster. However, be cautious with your steps! With new mechanics constantly being added, each level is an intricately crafted tower. By attacking flowers you can create new procedural vines that have leaves and allow you to jump. To plan your climb, balance carefully while looking at how the vines grow. To reach the top, you’ll need to have quick reflexes as well as a sharp wit.

Locate the Prince
To find the Prince missing, you will have to traverse unique environments and encounter stunning scenery in order to reach your destination. The fairy tale about love explores both the pleasures and dangers that can come along with them.
