Reptile, Ashrah, and Havik Confirmed For Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1’s roster continues to expand, and the latest trailer reveals a returning staple and two long-lost fighters from the series’ 2000s era: Reptile, Ashrah, and Havik.

The long trailer is a wonderful way to see the different looks, abilities and roles of the characters. Reptile has returned in a more humanized form, but he can shapeshift back into his more intimidating lizard-like body.  

Fans of 2004’s Mortal Kombat: Deception should be happy to see the returns of Ashrah and Havik. Each made their debut in that game, and neither has appeared in the series since Deception’s follow-up, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon in 2006. Ashrah has a new look and a different moveset, but she is still a demon largely cleansed from her evil nature. Havik seems to have retained his brand of chaotic, body-contorting offense. Sareena is also confirmed to be a Kameo fighter, which will add fuel to the nostalgia of the 2000s. Here’s the trailer for this game and some new screenshots. 

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on 19 September for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, Switch and PC. Check out previous trailers featuring Geras and Smoke.
