Remnant: From the Ashes is heading to Nintendo Switch in 2023

A sequel to 2019’s From the Ashes RemnantSimply put: Remnant 2, was a surprise announcement at last month’s The Game Awards. But developer Gunfire Games has another Remnant project in the works: a port of the original game for Nintendo Switch, which is “coming soon” but does not have an announced release date.

From the Ashes RemnantThis cooperative shooting game takes place on post-apocalyptic earth. Players take on the Root, a formidable enemy that can conquer all planets. These guys look kinda like evil trees. It combines elements of action-role-playing third-person games like Dark SoulsOriginal with gun-centric, ranged and gun-centric fighting RemnantThe event was well-received.

Gunfire Games has released the original RemnantOn PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch port’s gameplay video shows how the portable version of the game is behind the desktop versions. Still, it’s an opportunity for Switch owners to see what all the fuss is about, and to prep for Remnant 2’s launch on other platforms.

Remnant 2In 2023, it will be available on PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X. Original From the Ashes RemnantThis was made available to current-generation consoles by the early 2021.
