Remembering DC Comics’ Canceled Lobo Game

Just telling my friend I’d love to go see you, LoboInspiration for a television series Mandalorian Deadpool. Picture an intergalactic bounty hunter with an attitude problem – that’s basically Lobo. First appeared in an Omega MenIn 1983, comic book. He then bounced through many DC Comics series over the decades before finally making his television debut with Krypton. This is the point: More Lobo.

His wild personality almost made him a star in his video game. Ocean of America worked hard on the fighting game featuring Lobo, for Super Nintendo and Genesis. The fact sheets show that the game’s gameplay was almost complete as the developer had all the details figured out. This included “Ram Grenade Down Throat,” the “Blow Opponent into Half” and “Fire Hole Through Opponent” moves. You would expect the setup to be as you’d think: Lobo must destroy all those who stand in his path. Even he must kill a clone. These are several Game Informer fact sheets that describe the project and a video of a prototyping.

Lobo is unlikely to ever appear in a game. However, Wonder Woman and other DC characters may get their chance. What DC hero would you like to see in a video game? Please leave your comments below.
