Redfall’s Xbox and Bethesda show trailer is five minutes of gameplay
Redfall, Arkane Studios’ open-world, cooperative shooter, got another five-minute gameplay trailer to kick off the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday.
Players were shown a long reveal of a postapocalyptic zombie hellscape on New England’s seaside town. The sun is permanently under shadow and the tides have receded. There are four playable characters. Redfall’s cast, each with special talents and gadgets. Redfall is a solo-able experience, Arkane Studios Austin says, but it’s built primarily with multiplayer in mind.
You can choose to use stealth and sync shot techniques or just empty your clips if you feel the need. A character can use his psychokinetic skills to evade danger, while another can command the battlefield as a combat engineer. Another is an actor who is known for being a TV celebrity that specializes in cryptid hunting with a British accent.
Redfall is due to launch in early 2023 on Windows PC and Xbox Series X — in the next 12 months, the company said. Xbox Game Pass will simultaneously launch the game.
