Redditor May Have Found Hints To Pokémon Scarlet And Violet In Recent Pokémon Games

With Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s reveal this past weekend, hindsight is very much on the side of Pokémon fans who have combed through recent games to find hints at what the future holds for the Pokémon series. A Reddit user may have found Gen 9 Easter eggs in not one but two recent Pokémon titles.

In a Reddit post, a user named DDD-HERO points out a clever hint hidden within a hotel in Pokémon Sword and Shield:

It’s in Hotel Ionia, Circhester. The lobby is located in Hotel Ionia, Circhester. If you go to the left side of the hotel (I haven’t checked the right), then you will see the rooms are locked off. The wallpaper features images of grapes and oranges, which are featured today in Gen 9’s reveal!

DDD-HERO took the above image, which shows that said wallpaper is adorned with oranges and grapes. Those two fruits can be found all over in the Scarlet and Violet reveal trailer, including two plaques flanking a doorway, each featuring an icon representing either an orange or a bushel of grapes.

This web sleuth found a wonderful clue in Brilliant Diamonds and Shining Pearls. As you can see, Twinleaf has a garden filled with purple and red flowers. This is now the correct color pairing for Scarlett and Violet. DDDHERO ensured that he checked all the original Diamonds, Pearls, and Platinum. He found that the garden was originally there, but it contained less prominent flowers of other colors. This is another hint I would say!
