Reader Discussion: What’re Your Favorite Hidden Gems On PlayStation Plus?

PlayStation Plus has a new, improved interface that is surprisingly powerful.

You’d expect it to have all of the triple-A titles, including God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and many other games. Whatever. It’s not just about the endless list of extremely expensive PlayStation games.

The new PlayStation Plus was not something I was interested in when it first came out. But when Sony gave me three free months – the perks of being in the press, I guess, but also something I should disclose given the glowing nature of this piece – I took the time to scroll through the games list.

It’s filled with weirdo games that I have never heard of, and which are definitely worth trying. Nearly 12 games I found interesting and beautiful were instantly downloaded. This has been an amazing experience.

The Gravity Rush 2 series was finally completed. While Gravity Rush 2 disappointed me, the original Gravity Rush is amazing. It is worth checking out. The mainline takes seven hours and keeps the mission design exciting. You’ll have a lot of fun exploring the dizzying open-world.

Mitsurugi Kamui Hikee was also a game I played. Although it’s an awful game, I love it. You play as a girl with a big sword, going after your friend who is also a girl with a big sword – but she’s evil. The combat arenas look straight from a PlayStation 2 video game. You fight the same enemies in bland battle arenas. Again, it’s bad. It’s charming, though. It was an hour of fun and I loved it all.

The next steps are Disaster Report 4, Tokyo Jungle and the Siren Series. It’s exciting! What hidden gems are you finding on PlayStation Plus? Be unique and original. Keep it interesting. Red Dead Redemption II is finally available. Keep it to yourself. It’s an excellent game, as we all know. Let me know what other weird games you think I should try next in the comments!
