Princess Farmer Launches Today on the Xbox Store

Hello Xbox Wire readers! I’m Yared from Whitethorn Games, and I’d like to introduce to you our latest release, Princess Farmer Available today at the Xbox Store Samobee Games’ wonderful team has created a colorful and fun combination of visual novels and match-3s with an innovative twist.

It all begins with a simple, unassuming bunny working on a farm. She’s a simple bun, wanting nothing more than to snack on a tasty carrot and relax after a long day’s work. Just as she’s about to wrap up for the day, she stumbles upon a lost tube of lipstick before heading home. The night before, Gaia dreams vividly of meeting Gaia, a powerful bunny goddess who tells Gaia that she discovered a magic lipstick. She has become the Princess Farmer after finding the lipstick. This means she can pull, plant, match, and replant vegetables. It is a gift that she will use to save the planet.

You will need to pluck vegetables from a pile of 5 and plant them again to create columns with brightly colored crops. Matching three or more of the same vegetables will result in clearing the field, and moving everything else below to make up the gaps. Combinations earn more points and diagonal matches are worth more. Puzzle to puzzle mechanics and objectives can change, adding more variety to the game. You might have to match carrots and avoid potatoes on one plot, but the next may only permit diagonal matches. The clock is your score. While this is the standard way of playing the game, you can pick your preferred style when selecting an episode. “Balanced Bun” is the default mix of all types, while “Puzzle Bun” focuses on slower, more methodical goals. And for those of you who are all about speed and combo chains, “Action Bun” is the playstyle for you. If you’re able to bring a friend, you can enjoy each episode together in your local co-op.

You will encounter other bunnies, both bunnies and non-bunnies, with their own personalities and unique traits as you move through the story. Garlic is the first bunny to be able to communicate with animals. Carrot, a brilliant inventor, creates a robot-bun that will help you along your way. Rowan, an anti-social bookworm runs a Hare-dye Shoppe. You can also spend your hearts by solving puzzles and buying different sparkle effects or colors to personalize your outfits. You can earn these outfits or other customizations by completing puzzles at the end each episode. It all depends on how you relate to characters.
