What exactly is Potion Craft?

Potion craftThis simulator allows you to play the role of an alchemist and interact with your ingredients and tools in order to make magical potions at your shop. Take orders from your shop’s visitors, explore the alchemy map to discover new recipes, and create the legendary Philosopher’s Stone to become the master alchemist!

The main job of your shop is to make different types of concoctions with the various tools you have such as a ladle, mortar and pestle or bellows. Every day your fellow townsfolk will come to your shop – each looking for a solution to their problems. To prepare the best potion, you must listen and comprehend their needs.

Don’t forget to put your bartering skills to work before handing over the goods. Haggling is a skill that you can use to your advantage. To negotiate the most price, you can have a chat about various topics with your customers using the haggling mechanism. But be careful, and don’t get greedy! Your conversation partner will have a greater chance of winning the discussion if the topic is more complicated.

Think carefully about whom you sell to and what you sell them though, as every decision affects your shop’s reputation. The better your shop’s reputation, the kinder (and nobler) your customers will be. If you run a shady business, however, you will be visited more often by not-so-nice individuals… with equally unpleasant requests! It’s up to you whether you want to be a kindhearted healer and friendly wizard or whether you want to do business with outlaws and witches as a dark warlock.

Make Potions!

There are many ingredients available for your mortar and pestle. These include leaves, flowers and fruits as well as roots and fruits. You can find ingredients in the Enchanted Garden, or buy them from other visitors to your shop like the charming but shy Herbalist, Wandering Merchant, who will always be willing to help you, and the quirky and chatty Mushroomer.

Experimenting with various ingredients will allow you to explore the alchemy world and create new potion effects. These ingredients can be combined to create a unique potion. Just make sure to use a little common sense when combining effects; We don’t think a poisonous healing potion would have a buyer… or would it?

To make it easy to prepare a potion in one sitting, find the best recipe and write it down. Your potions can be customized by changing their shape, label colors and icons. You also have the option to create unique descriptions. Experiment to your heart’s content!

The sandbox style of gameplay offers different avenues of progression, and it’s up to you to figure out the best way to complete each task. You can choose to be an alchemist, a weasel or a shrewd mage. It is entirely up to you what your destiny will be as an alchemist. Potion craft!

LEARN HOW TO MAKE POTIONS
Your potion recipe is ready. Blend ingredients. The coals should be heated. Bring to a boil and mix. Add the base: water, oil, or… something else. Congratulation on making your first potion. Did it take you a while to learn the basics? Try it now!

EXPERIMENT WITH NEXT RECIPES
Use the Alchemy Map as a guide to plan your route and combine various effects. Be mindful of common sense: you won’t find a market for a poisonous healing potion… right? You wouldn’t?

SELL POTIONS
Customers will visit your shop every day looking for answers to their problems. Whatever you choose to sell your customers will have consequences. Attract guilds, befriend notable figures (or feud with them), gain riches and influence – and one day, you may even decide the fate of the whole town.

You can either buy ingredients or grow your own.
Ingredients are essential for alchemists. They can be purchased from travel merchants. Although it may seem expensive, there are some tricks that can save money. You can also grow them yourself!

CUSTOMIZING – GET CREATIVE
Do you want to make your potions stand out? Go ahead! Modify the bottle’s shape, color, icon, and label type. It can also be given a unique name and description. Carefully arrange your unique potions to showcase them on your shop’s shelves and tables… or carelessly throw them around – we’re not gonna tell you what to do, just have fun!
