Every horror film boils down to the same basic fears we all share. But there are endless variations. Horror films can be described as mildly dark stories meant to entertain children, or shocking tales that make adults dread going to bed at night.

Everyone has different preferences in horror films. People are drawn to drama with characters that make every death seem tragic. Others just love to see the dead bodies accumulate. One horror devotee might be looking for catharsis and comfort, where another one wants to be challenged with something they’ve never seen on screen before.
