Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s DLC will get a new Polteageist: Poltchageist

If I know one thing about Pokémon, it’s that no pun can be taken too far. This time, we’re getting a new version of the poltergeist-inspired Pokémon, Polteageist. This new Pokémon is called Poltchageist, and it looks like a haunted matcha caddy.

Teal MaskThis will occur in an area called Kitakami which was inspired by Japanese traditional culture. The cinematic trailer, which is true to the theme, shows Poltchageist haunting the tea caddy that was neglected by a tea master. The design is similar to a ceramic tea cup that’s had a small crack fixed. A face is painted onto it, and it holds a small tea scoop. The official art is below.

The Poltchageist type is grass/ghost. According to the official description, it “takes up residence in old houses where it is sometimes known to patch up broken objects.” Poltchageist is inspired by another Pokémon named Polteageist, which is a ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Pokémon SwordThe following are some examples of how to get started: Shield.
