PlayStation VR2 Launch Window Game, The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, Delayed To March

Switchback VR has been delayed: Dark Pictures

PlayStation revealed 11 new PlayStation VR2 games back in November, including a new entry in Supermassive Games’ The Dark Pictures anthology series called Switchback VR. Supermassive released Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, a PlayStation VR rail shooter, in 2016, and Switchback VR is its spiritual successor. When Switchback VR was revealed late last year, there wasn’t an official release date attached to it – PlayStation just referred to it as a PSVR2 launch window title.

Supermassive Games has delayed Switchback VR’s release to March 16th. This is a small delay considering that PSVR2 launched on February 22nd and Switchback VR was due to launch around the same time. Supermassive Games explains why it took longer to finish the rail shooter.

The Switchback VR team sent this message: “Switchback VR, Supermassive Games’ most ambitious VR project yet,” We have always aimed to make the PSVR 2 launch in time, but we also believe it’s important for you to experience the most terrifying and polished Switchback VR experience.

With this information in mind we made the hard decision to change our launch date from March 16th 2023. Thank you for all your excitement and patience – it really means the world to us. Stay tuned for more information about the sinister rollercoaster that is hell. Also, watch out for our video with new gameplay features.

Switchback VR is delayed, as you can see. However, we will soon learn more in a dedicated video to gameplay features.
