PlayStation Plus October 2023 free games announced

PlayStation Plus subscribers’ free Essential games for October are Callisto Protocol for Farming Simulator 22,Then, Weird WestSony has announced this on Wednesday. Downloads of the three PlayStation 5 games and PlayStation 4 titles will begin on Tuesday, October 3rd.

Callisto Protocol is Striking Distance Studios’ spiritual successor to the sci-fi survival horror of the Dead Space games. As Jacob Lee, players fight their way out of a high-tech space prison on Jupiter’s moon, Callisto. Callisto ProtocolThe game was released on December 20, 2022, to a mixed response from critics. In Polygon’s review, we dinged the game for its clunky, inconsistent melee combat and frustrating enemy encounters, but praised its visuals and well-told story. Striking Distance released several updates since then, including a game-plus mode and more difficult options.

Farming Simulator 2Giants Software’s popular agriculture simulator features equipment made by John Deere Case IH Fendt Massey Ferguson and other manufacturers. Farming SimulatorSimulator 22 adds seasonal cycles, production chains and more to its long-running game.

Weird West is the debut title from WolfEye Studios, whose co-founder, Raphaël Colantonio, worked as a creative director on The Dishonored and the PreyArkane Studios has more. October’s PS Plus Essential games will be available to download through Nov. 6.

PlayStation Plus subscribers can still pick up September’s PlayStation Plus Essential games — Saints Row: Black Desert Traveler’s EditionThen, Generation Zero — until Oct. 2.

PlayStation Plus Essential is the base tier of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s subscription service that offers online multiplayer access, a monthly assortment of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases. PlayStation Plus Essential is $79.99 per year, $24.99 for three months, or $9.99 per month. Sony has recently increased the cost of its 12-month PlayStation Plus subscriptions. The Essential plan was raised $20 from $59.99 per year to $79.99.
