PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for July 2023 announced

PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra subscribers will get over a dozen new games in their library starting Tuesday, July 18th. Highlights include Rebellion Entertainment’s cult hit Sniper Elite 5, the racing-game-meets-Discovery-Channel-show-from-hell Snowrunner, and Toby Fox’s acclaimed indie RPG Unknown.

Sniper Elite 5 launched a year ago and it’s probably the best formulation of the World War II stealth shooter to date. Karl Fairburne is back to take on Nazis, but this time it’s during France liberation following D-Day.

Snowrunner deserves props for its premise, at least: You’re a trucker hauling heavy, if not also dangerous, cargo across forbidding Russian steppes and barren Alaskan tundra. It’s the simple satisfaction of getting the job done. No AM radio gospel songs or hot showers in the Flying J await your gruff big-rig driver.

Unknown It is a top down RPG that draws on classic Nintendo Entertainment System game elements, such as bullet hell gameplay. The game was launched in 2015 to rave reviews, and received a slew of award nominations.
