PlayStation Plus August 2022 free games include Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Yakuza: As a DragonAnd Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2Sony revealed Wednesday that all PlayStation Plus subscribers who have purchased August will get the upgrade for no cost.

Users will be able to download both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of those titles — in the case of THPS, the product in question is the Cross Gen Deluxe Bundle, which also comes with some bonus content. Other free games for the month include Little NightmaresThe only available on PS4 is the game, titled “The Last of Us”, From Aug. 2 through Sept. 6, all three titles are free with PlayStation Plus

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2It was originally released on September 2020 for Xbox One, Windows PC and PS4, and later ported to PS5 before Nintendo Switch. It’s a remake by Vicarious Visions of the first two games in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise. It was a huge success and Activision had originally intended to remake the fourth and fifth games of the series. But now that Vicarious Visions is part of Blizzard Entertainment (as Blizzard Albany), that’s not in the cards anymore.

Yakuza: As a Dragon is the most recent entry in Sega’s long-running Yakuza series of open-world role-playing games, although with its turn-based combat, it plays differently from its predecessors. It debuted in the West in November 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, but due to a timed exclusivity arrangement with Microsoft for the launch of the new consoles, the PS5 version wasn’t released until March 2021. You can now get the game on both PlayStation 3 and 4 platforms.

Tarsier Studios’ Little NightmaresIt is an adventure-based puzzle platforming game with horror elements that first arrived in 2017. Studio has released a sequel, The Prequel. Little Nightmares IIThe company was launched in 2021.

Between nowAnd Aug. 2, PlayStation Plus subscribers can still grab July’s free games, which include Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and Man of Medan: The Dark Pictures.
