PlayStation 5 Cloud Streaming Arrives This Month For Premium Users

If you’re a PlayStation Plus Premium subscriber, you’re getting a new perk in the ability to stream select native PS5 games starting this month. Cloud streaming is available on supported games within the PS Plus Game Catalogue, trial versions of PS5 titles, and user-specific libraries.

The PlayStation Blog post details that select PS5 titles that support the feature include Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon: Forbidden West, Mortal Kombat 11, and Saints Row IV. You can also stream games such as Hogwarts Legacy: The Calisto Protocol and The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. You can also stream DLCs and add-ons.

Cloud-streamed games can output 4K and 60fps, depending on the internet connection speed. They also support full DualSense 3D audio and Tempest 3D. Sony says that “hundreds’ of games will support this feature.

Sony will gradually roll out cloud streaming in Japan, Europe and North America from the dates below.

Japan – October 17

Europe – October 23

North America – October 30

Please remember that Premium is by far the most expensive PS Plus subscription level, and even more costly after Sony hiked the price of annual membership last month. Cloud streaming is dependent on the internet’s quality. However, it can be an attractive perk to members. Cloud streaming is available to Premium subscribers. Will you use it?
