Playdate Update Showcase Will Feature New Games And More Next Week

Panic revealed next week that they would host a Playdate Update Showcase. 

Panic will also reveal Playdate games during the show, which will air on March 7, at 9 am PT. This presentation will last 13 minutes. It will include an update about Catalog, Panic’s own curated on-device, and web browser storefront that sells Playdate software. 

Playdate, which is a piece hardware for handhelds, began shipping to customers last April. This small, black-and-white screen device runs on the power provided by a crank that is located at the bottom of the hardware.

The crank powers the device and is integrated into many of its games. Over 25,000 Playdates were shipped out to customers since April. You can still preorder Playdate to be the first wave of the product, but it is currently not available on demand. 

Playdate Update will be shown on Panic’s official YouTube channel.
