Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis: The Sands of Retem are Calling

Sandstrom Requiem is here, and the Sands of Retem call! Phantasy Star Online 2 New GenesisThe new region has exciting new content. You’ll be able to level your ARKS Defender to 35 and check out the new Class Skills and Elemental Techniques. You can challenge yourself in new Battledia and Trainia training areas, as well as explore the Titles feature to combat new enemies and acquire new items.

Get your skills up!

In order to take on the new enemies and travails that await you in Retem, you’ll need some more power, and there’s no better way to achieve this than gaining levels in your favorite class and gaining a few new Class Skills or Techniques. All classes now have a Class Skill and the level cap is raised to 35. These skills can make certain classes more deadly on the battlefield. For instance, the Hunter Class Skill Sword Arts Charge Avenger will cause you to unleash a Photon Art enhanced with Hunter Arts Avenger when you’re hit by an enemy while charging a Photon Art.

The Force class also receives a potent upgrade in the form of Technique Domination, which will increase the Force’s damage dealt to Downed enemies with all Techniques. New Elemental Techniques were also added. Not only can you summon Fire, Ice and Lightning, but so too does the Techter or Bouncer. Cast Gizan to create a storm of wind or a frenzy of light blades around you.

Two Battledia have arrived for ARKS to learn in. To gain enhanced experience, team up with Alliance friends or members to share the load. You can access Battledia through certain Trigger Portals by using five B-Triggers. Some rare drops might even be yours!

Be Titled

NGS has now adopted the Titles system! You will be able to acquire different titles, and you’ll also receive SG (Star Gems). Star Gems may be purchased at the SG Scratch Ticket store or in-game SG Store for premium features like Mission Pass Gold Ticket, Material Storage or other cosmetic items.

Very Rare Drops

ARKS discovered a couple of new Weapon Series in addition to discovering a new region. Several 5-star Rarity Weapon Series are coming, and you’ll be able to evaluate which series will work best for your playstyle and class. With a bit of luck, you might also find color variant weapons with alternate graphics that allow for the execution of actions. Of course, you’ll need to protect yourself from the new enemies, so there will also be 5-star Rarity armor and new Augments. Storytime

As long as you’re caught up on the Main Story (having completed Chapter 1) you’ll be tasked with exploring the new Retem region. You’ll need to navigate the desolate dunes in search of oases and civilization, eliminating DOLLS units along the way. Once in Retem City, keep your ears peeled and listen carefully to what’s said (and sung) around you. The inhabitants of the city have quite a few Side Tasks they need help with, and you’re just the defender they need. There even happen to be a few ARKS Training Instructors stationed in Retem City, and one who’ll have Limited-time Tasks for advanced ARKS Defenders.
