Paradox Announcement Show 2023 – New Games, Expansions, Gameplay Reveals, and More

It’s time to play some games! Paradox Interactive unveiled three new titles at the Paradox Announcement Show, 2023.

Our team has been hard at work on many exciting projects, and we are happy to finally share all of them today with the Announcement Show sponsor by Xbox. Neun new content has been released, which includes full games as well as expansions and updates for titles from the Paradox catalogue.

Let’s start from the beginning, as we kicked off our Announcement Show with Lamplighters LeagueHarebrained Games, based in Seattle, created a new game called ‘The Original Game. It features a world-trotting pulp adventure, strategic turn-based combat, and a stylish alternate 1930s setting.

We reserved the next major update for our loved ones Crusader Kings III. Alexander Oltner was the Game Director at Crusader Kings III, joined us in the studio to talk about the next expansion, “Tours and Tournaments”, which adds new actions and adventures for characters, with new ways to gain prestige at home and abroad!

Paradox Tinto came to Stockholm with their team to inform us about our studio in Sitges. Europa Universalis IV: Domination. In this new expansion pack, many of the most popular and powerful nations are getting updated mission trees and other historical details, in an add-on with truly global reach: it’s time to change history once again!

We spoke with the Game Director about alternate stories and ever-evolving scenarios. How to Survive the Aftermath to share some interesting details about their last expansion “Rebirth.” Thanks to terraforming, it seems that with this expansion your colonists can finally see the light at the end of the Aftermath!

We wanted to commemorate the 8th anniversary of our Announcement show Skylines of CitiesComing up March 10th. But we didn’t do just that…we also took the next step for the franchise and announced Cities: Skylines II!
