Overwatch League 2022 starts May 5: How to get tokens and beta drops

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch League, the professional esports organization that’s been all about Overwatch, returns for a new season — the league’s fifth — on Thursday, May 5. Overwatch League’s fifth season will see a significant change. OWL players will compete in the new season. Overwatch 2The beta version of PvP will allow for five players to participate, as well as hero reworks and a brand new hero Sojourn.

Overwatch League also will be available Overwatch 2’s new mode, Push, as part of the gameplay rotation.

Viewers can check out the full Overwatch League 2022 schedule at the league’s official website, but here’s the gist for opening weekend: League play starts at 12 p.m. PDT/3 p.m. EDT on May 5 and runs through Sunday, May 8. Watchers can also play OverwatchThe league will be giving beta access to its inaugural weekend to players who tune in on the first Saturday of each month. Overwatch 2 PvP test on PC — some 1,500 beta keys per hour. Blizzard states fans need to view at least 1 hour of the broadcast for eligibility. Fans are also eligible for drops at any time during the hour. To be eligible for the beta, fans must link their Battle.net accounts via the Overwatch League site.

OverwatchPlayers can earn Overwatch League Tokens for watching. These tokens can then be used to buy limited-time skins that are only available through those tokens. Each hour that Overwatch League matches are televised, viewers earn 5 tokens. During select matches, 2X token drops will be made. This requires you to link your Battle.net Account.
