Overwatch 2 season 4 trailer reveals battle pass skins, Starwatch mode

Overwatch 2The new season 4, which will see the introduction of Lifeweaver as a support hero, and kick off a new battle pass that is space opera-themed, begins on April 11. In a new trailer for the season, Blizzard lays out what players can expect in terms of new skins, new gameplay modes, and new in-game challenges — plus one big change to support hero Brigitte, who’s getting a shield upgrade this season.

As part of this new initiative, Lifeweaver, a hero from the future will be added. Overwatch 2Season 4 battle pass Premium season 4 battle passes will allow players to unlock him right away. Other players will need wait until they have reached level 45. That pass will also include new cosmetics for characters like Hanzo, Lifeweaver, and Sigma, who will receive this season’s Mythic-tier skin.

The trailer also shows Tracer with a new skin, which gives her a style inspired by vaporwaves. Echo has a skin similar to Hajime Sorayama.

Overwatch 2 season 4 will also introduce a new game mode called Starwatch, which appears to be a 4v4 mode set on Horizon Lunar Colony, a map that was removed from the general map rotation due to the Assault mode going away for Blizzard’s sequel. The mode may also feature its own, space opera-inspired skins. These will appear to be Star Wars and Warhammer 40,000.

Brigitte will also see a major change. Her shield will be much more expansive when she makes use of her ability to rally the team.

Season 4 will continue into Pride Month and flags are expected to fly in Overwatch 2 starting June 1.
