Overwatch 2 is Free for All Starting October 4

Attention Overwatch heroes! Overwatch 2Xbox One will be available for free on October 4. Get together your friends to play 5v5 multiplayer. Overwatch 2It will continue to evolve and offer new content from season one to season two. Daily challenges and updates will keep you updated with new content every day.

We have some exciting news starting October.

• October 4 – Season 1Season 1, Episode 1: Three new characters, Sojourn and Junker Queen, join the team. A Support Hero has yet to be announced! Six maps are also available in the most famous cities of the world, including Rio, New York City, Rome and Monte Carlo. On top of that, players will be able to experience a new mode, ‘Push’, fight for control and push a map-centered robot all the way to enemy base. A new Mythic skin and 30+ skins will be available to customize your hero.

• December 9 – Season 2Season 2 will continue to release an incredible amount of content. This includes a Tank Hero, new maps to fight in and 30+ new skins. Season 2 Battle Pass also includes an abundance of useful items you can earn to use on the battlefield.

Players can look forward to more maps, heroes, modes and hundreds of skins starting in 2023.

Seasons are full of fresh content

Overwatch 2The game is live and will release new maps, features, modes, and other content every 9 weeks. Then in 2023, we’ll expand on the world of Overwatch and our heroes via new narrative experiences and PvE gameplay.

Battle Pass will give you access to themed cosmetic items as well as daily challenges, which can be completed for in-game rewards. You’ll be able to choose which content you’d like to invest in and progress towards, instead of relying on Loot Box luck.

And with new cross-progression, you’ll be able to take what you earn with you to whatever device you’re actively gaming on.

Step up with the latest Mythic skins and new, never-before-seen makeup

Overwatch 2Mythic will be the new tier for skins. These skins will allow players to customize various elements of your hero’s look. 

We’ll also be introducing a plethora of new cosmetics including souvenirs, banners, and weapons charms. With cross-progressions, your earn cosmetics can travel anywhere you want.

Competitive 2.0

Overwatch 2Players will have a new competitive experience.

Reworked scoreboard system to provide players more information throughout the game and additional reports following a match to summarize your progress. Skills ratings are not updated until seven wins. They use ranked skill levels rather than numeric ratings.

Overwatch 2Beta

You don’t have to wait until October to experience Overwatch 2’s reimagined gameplay. You can sign up right now to be part of the beta starting June 28.

Beta participants will get to meet Junker Queen and be one of the first to take her to battle. You’ll also get to check out new hero Sojourn, try out Push mode, and take the fight worldwide with maps in New York, Rome, Monte Carlo, and Rio.
