Outriders Worldslayer Arrives June 30, Adds New Campaign, Progression, Gear, And More

Worldslayer, the first major expansion of Outsiders, was unveiled today at a special broadcast for developers. The video contains a dense overview that provides a comprehensive breakdown of their new campaign and its locations. 

Outriders: The upgraded edition contains the original game as well as every update. Players who have the original game may upgrade to Worldslayer, and their progress can be seamlessly transferred. Existing players can bring their characters into Worldslayer, but if you’re looking to start from scratch, new characters can be boosted to level 30 to be readily available for the expansion. It’s also possible to play Worldslayer’s content first and then return to the original campaign. 

Worldslayer takes place immediately after the events of Outriders’ main story. The Anomaly has further evolved to generate powerful blizzards that have quickly frozen the land. Ereshkigal, a powerful Altered insurgent leader, has sinister plans for humanity’s future and serves as the main antagonist. There are new enemies and bosses standing in your path. Worldslayer brings over 100 new loot and additional weapon mods to your arsenal.

Also, progression has been reworked. Two subclasses have been added to PAX trees for each class, which allows you further diversify your classes. You can gradually increase your Endurance and Prowess as well as your Brutality and Anomaly with Ascension, which is a long-term progression method that unlocks 200 points overall. 

Apocalypse Tiers have been replaced by Challenge Tiers. This tier will continue to be available in all Worldslayer content. The tier cap is at 40, which will keep campaign participants engaged for a long time. Apocalypse weapons are also included in this new tier. This is noteworthy because they have a third mode slot. 

Finishing Worldslayer’s campaign unlocks its endgame content: The Trial of Tarya Gratar. Developer People Can Fly is keeping tight-lipped on this content, only promising that it’s “different from anything we’ve done in Outriders before.”

The Outriders Worldslayer will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox consoles, as well as PCs and Stadias on June 30. The price is unknown at this time. Digital preorders give you access 48 hours before the release date and 10% off.
