Octopath Traveler II Hits Xbox And Windows Early Next Year

Octopath Traveler II is one of the year’s most celebrated RPGs, and now Xbox fans have been invited to join the party. The game is coming to Microsoft’s consoles and Windows PC early next year.

In February, the RPG first appeared on PlayStation consoles and Switch. Octopath Traveler II follows the same path as its predecessor. Players guide eight adventurous characters in a world rendered in HD-2D. Although similar, Octopath Traveler II has gained praise for the improvements it makes in terms of storytelling, character progression and navigation. 

In our review, we scored Octopath Traveler II an 8.5 out of 10, with guest writer Josh Broadwell writing that “Octopath Traveler II does what an excellent sequel should. Instead of breaking new ground left and right, it improves on the original in nearly every way and feels more confident about the stories it tells.”
