Obsidian’s Grounded Is Getting An Animated Series

Obsidian Entertainment Honey, I Srunk the KidsGrounded, a survival game that is based on real life has been selected for an animated series. Deadline reports.

Grounded, currently playable in Xbox Game Preview/Steam Early AccessAnd slated to launch in full this September, will be adapted by writer Brent Friedman whose credits include Star Trek: Enterprise and Star Wars: Rebels/The Clone Wars. Waterproof Studios/SC Productions/Kinetic Media and Bardel Entertainment can also be attached in order to produce with Obsidian as well as Xbox.

DeadlineThe series stars four best friends and shrinks to a mere inch in height. The teenagers must now survive in a backyard laden with dangerous insects, spiders, and other threats while unraveling a corporate conspiracy threatening the town.

Grounded has yet to be announced for its cast or release window. After two years of early access, Grounded is now only months away from full release. The game will be made available for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
