Nintendo Warns Switch Owners About Heatwave

Nintendo has issued a heat wave warning to Switch users, advising that the console should only be used at temperatures of 35° Celsius (95° Fahrenheit). Although the heat cap looks impressive, it is not recommended to be tested.

You can do this by Nintendo Life, EurogamerNintendo Japan’s Customer Service Twitter Account, which advised Switch owners not to exceed dangerously high temperatures and kept the exhaust and intake ports open, was referenced.  The good news is that if the console gets too hot, it’ll automatically sleep. If you like to use the Switch port for gaming, make sure it is in a cool area. Below is a translated tweet:

If you keep the Nintendo Switch in direct sunlight, it may heat up. Use the Nintendo Switch at a temperature of between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius. The temperature may also rise if there are obstructions at the exhaust and intake ports. Improve the condition of the air surrounding the exhaust and intake ports. It may automatically go to sleep if it senses that the temperature is too high. Install the Nintendo Switch Dock at a place that doesn’t retain heat when playing TV. Use a vacuum to remove any foreign matter/dust from the main device’s exhaust port or air intake. You should not take apart the main assembly for your safety.
