Nintendo Switch Sports overview welcomes you to ‘Spocco Square’
Nintendo Switch SportsIt is nearing completion, and Nintendo released an overview and a few plans for post-release.
This trailer suggests that Nintendo Switch Sports will take players to Spocco Square, a gym-like sports complex that serves as the game’s main menu of sports. Tennis, bowling, chambara (previously known as “swordplay”) return from Wii Sports and Wii Sports ResortIt is also joined by volleyball, badminton and soccer. As free DLC, a seventh option, golf, is being added this fall.
In the overview, optional gameplay twists and multiplayer modes are also featured — bowling, for example, will have the option for special lanes with barriers to bowl around, and “Survival Bowling,” which will match up 16 players at random for a bowl-off. The game is fun! Nintendo Switch SportsPlayers will be rewarded with customized avatar items, known as Sportsmates. (Miis may also be used).
Also included in the trailer are motions that will be interpreted as action when played. Please note the demonstrators’ chill demeanor, and how relaxed their movements are. Imagine how easy and pleasant life could be if everyone imitated their movements every single time they played. Great, right? No one’s going to do that.
Nintendo Switch Sports launches April 29.
