Nintendo Has Revealed Mario’s New Voice Actor

Nintendo announced in August the retirement of long-time Mario actor Charles Martinet. Nintendo announced that Martinet would not be the voice of jumpman in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which left fans wondering who the new Mario voice was. After months of internet sleuthing, guesswork, and more, Nintendo has confirmed that Genshin Impact voice actor Kevin Afghani is the new voice of Mario. 

Nintendo informs: “The name of the voice actor is Kevin Afghani.” Game Informer In a statement.

Afghani tweeted today to express his excitement at the opportunity to voice Mario and Luigi for Super Mario Bros. Wonder. 

Super Mario Bros. Wonder: “I am extremely proud to have voiced Mario & Luigi.” “Thanks to Nintendo for inviting my into the Flower Kingdom.”

Afghani’s credits include Arnold in the aforementioned Genshin Impact, Raditz in Dragon Ball R&R, and Short Detective, General, and Grunt in the Secret History of Cuphead short.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be available exclusively for the Switch from October 20. Mario was featured on the cover of Issue, which came out before the release of Super Mario Bros.
