Nintendo Announces 40-Minute Direct Happening This Week

Nintendo announced this week that the new Nintendo Direct will be available.
This Direct will take place tomorrow at 2 pm PT/4 pm CT/5 p.m. ET. The game title was not named by Nintendo, but it is possible to extrapolate.
You can tune in on February 9th at 2 PM PT to a #NintendoDirect Livestream. This stream will provide approximately 40 minutes of information that focuses primarily on the #NintendoSwitch Games launching during 2022’s first half.
The Direct will last 40 minutes, as you can see from the above tweet. The majority of the games shown will have been released for Switch during the first half 2022. That means we’ll likely be seeing Chocobo GP and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Of course, there’s a Breath of the Wild-sized elephant in the room to address – the highly-anticipated sequel doesn’t seem like a game coming in the first half of this year. Nintendo claims that the Direct “mainly focused on” games coming within these six months. Nintendo has enough time to talk about games released outside of the window by “mainly focused” – a reference to Breath of the Wild’s sequel. Nintendo, could we please get an official title?
We might see Bayonetta 3 or Splatoon 3 more often. We don’t need to wait too long, as the direct is only 24 hours away.
