New Uncharted Movie Trailer Reveals Sully’s Signature Mustache

The New UnchartedWe have just a few months to go before filming begins and this trailer is our first look at it. The footage in this trailer is a lot older than the one that we saw back in October. However, this new look at the upcoming adaptation does give us a few fresh tidbits, including a little more backstory on Moncada, the movie’s antagonist played by Antonio Banderas. His family didn’t just search for the incredible fortune, but they were also betrayed. This will be interesting to learn how it relates to Nathan Drake’s (played here by Tom Holland), and Victor “Sully Sullivan’s plans (played in Mark Wahlberg) to find the sparkling treasure. 

One of the biggest reveals of the trailer came at the end when we get our first glimpse of Sully in the film with his characteristic mustache. In the games, Sully’s facial hair is one of his defining features, and one that Uncharted fans immediately noticed was missing in early character reveals. It was odd to see Sully without his hair. However, this movie is before Naughty dog. The trailer below shows that Sully will not be clean-shaven for the entire film. 

Sony Entertainment Picture’s Uncharted will release in theatres on February 18. Fandango recently released posters that featured pirate imagery. Today’s trailer shows more. Many speculate that Uncharted 4: A Theif’s End might be the film’s connection. This movie features an identical-looking graveyard. It’s difficult to know exactly which connections will be made between the video games and the adaptation. Two more months are left before we know.
