New to Disney Plus in October 2021: Hawkeye and Shang-Chi

Disney Plus launched in 2019 with most of Disney’s back catalog, but the platform hasn’t reached maximum capacity just yet. Aside from original content such as upcoming episodes, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., there’s a host of movies and shows wrapped up under other streaming services and licenses. Every month, Disney Plus will be adding a handful of new titles.

The big Disney Plus celebration of November will include a lot of brand new content. This includes an Olaf series as well as a Home Alone revival. Later in November, the next live action Marvel show hits the platform, and this time Hawkeye is the star — passing the baton on to Kate Bishop. Shang-Chi & the Legend of the Ten RingsAnd Jungle CruiseAll subscribers will have access to the Beatles Docuseries, which is also by Peter Jackson.

Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. Episode 109 “Scutwork”

Disney Lahela learns that she and Walter will be long-distance for the summer when he’s invited to join an Australian surf tour. To make Uncle John’s 17th Birthday memorable, she orders a fancy cake but is almost forced to miss the event when Dr. Lee asks her to transcribe his voice notes. That task becomes a lifesaver when Lahela recognizes Uncle John’s rare symptom and rushes him to the hospital. With this sudden reminder that time is precious, Lahela considers a summer medic position with Walter’s surf tour.

Walter offers to skip his tour and Lahela musters the strength to do what’s right, even if it’s hard.
