New Platformer Dungeon Crawler Lucky Luna Announced, Free For Netflix Subscribers

Developer Snowman has captivated players with handcrafted indie gems, such as The Alto Series, Where Cards Fall, and Skate City. Today, on Netflix’s Geeked Week stream, it revealed a new game called Lucky Luna for iOS and Android, which will appear later this summer on Netflix’s streaming service. Netflix subscribers get the free game.

Lucky Luna is entirely made of pixel art. It’s a platformer-dungeon crawler that scrolls vertically and uses pixel art. What’s the big deal? There is no jumping button. Players swipe left and right to guide Luna through trap-filled dungeons with hidden secrets and alternate paths.

Each level offers a unique environment with new mechanics, allowing players to discover new things. The story mode allows you to gather as many pearls possible in order to progress to the next level.  In the story mode, you will also discover new clues and other elements that can help reveal more about Luna’s history and uncover her purpose.

Lucky Luna also supports an infinite mode that allows you to run procedurally-generated runs in every environment. You can also make a name yourself in the leaderboards with this mode. Scores are based upon speed, number of floors climbed, and collected peals. If you gather enough treasure, you can unlock more endless dungeons that will allow your run to continue.

Lucky Luna will make her debut later in the summer.
