New Pixar movie Elio gets first alien-filled trailer

Pixar’s newest movie is Elio, A totally unique intergalactic experience Lilo and Stitch vibes. In reverse. Instead of a misfit little alien crash-landing on Earth, an over-imaginative young boy gets beamed up to a big, alien-filled conference gathering, after he’s mistaken for Earth’s leader.

The first trailer of the film Elio, we see just how this happens — turns out the kid calls his scientist mom just as she gets contact from extraterrestrials, and something goes very wrong with the transmission. Elio has been beamed and must go to some kind of trial in his role as Earth’s representative. Whoops!

Elio, the character, is played by Yonas Kibreab, who previously played Finn Fox in Netflix’s Sweet Tooth. America Ferrera plays his mother Olga (What is the best way to train your dragon?). Jameela JamilThe Good PlaceBrad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond).

ElioThe movie is from Adrian Molina who has previously written and co-directed. Coco. The film will be released in theaters March 1, 2024.
