New Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Update Fixes Incorrect Flag And White Cube Model Issue
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is Sony’s most popular first-party video game. While we loved the game – read Game Informer Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 here – once players got their hands on the game, some encountered a few bugs and issues, like one where their character model became a small white cube that looks like tofu. In addition, the players found that the Puerto Rican and Cuban flags were displayed in the Morales house instead. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has a new update that fixes these problems and many more.
In-game version 1.001.003 fixes the issues with the flags and white cubes. The Amazing 2 Suit’s spider logo was too bright and it improved the stability of the game. The full breakdown of the update is below:
- A problem where the incorrect flag is displayed
- After long sessions, models were not loading properly.
- The Amazing 2 Suit Spider’s logo is now less bright.
- Stability is improved
Insomniac Games, the developer of the game, has released an official statement along with the patch notes above that specifically addresses the flag problem.
The patch reads: “Today’s patches corrects an incorrect display of the Puerto Rican Flag instead of the Cuban Flag.” We understand the importance of accurate representation and regret this mistake. “We sincerely regret this error and promise to do better going forward.”
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch exclusively for PlayStation 5 on 20 October.
